"I had an incredible experience with Dark and Loud. I did the Ngenco PPS on my Model S Tesla Plaid along with tints, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out."

"I've come here for 2 of my cars and never had one complaint about either. My first one was done so perfectly that if it weren't for the darker tint it would look like I was looking out the actual window. No bubble, very clean…"

Frequently asked questions

What are the legal window tint limits in Florida?

Under section 316.2953, side wings and side windows forward of or adjacent to the driver's seat must transmit at least 28 percent of visible light, with total solar reflectance of visible light no more than 25 percent measured on the non-film side. Under section 316.2954, side windows behind the driver must transmit at least 15 percent on a passenger car or 6 percent on a multipurpose passenger vehicle, with total solar reflectance no more than 35 percent. These are measurements of the installed film and factory glass together, not the film alone. A nontransparent treated rear window requires side mirrors on both sides. Violations are noncriminal traffic infractions punishable as nonmoving violations under chapter 318. Have the vehicle classification and installed-glass measurements checked; exemptions or other windows may involve additional rules.

How long does automotive customization work take?

The time depends on the service, the vehicle, the areas involved and whether existing materials need removal. Window film, audio integration, upholstery and paint preparation have different inspection, installation and drying or curing needs. Send the vehicle details and describe the scope when requesting a quote. Ask the shop to confirm a realistic arrival and collection plan rather than assuming that every service can be completed while you wait.

Can I wait at the shop while the work is done?

Contact the shop before arranging your visit. On-site waiting arrangements and the collection plan need to be confirmed for your particular appointment; this website does not promise waiting facilities or a completion time. For work that involves disassembly, multiple panels or curing, discuss alternative transport and how the shop will let you know that the vehicle is ready.

How should I care for newly installed window film?

Follow the aftercare instructions supplied for the installed material. Avoid operating treated windows until the installer says it is appropriate, and do not press, pick or scrape at edges. Some moisture-related haze can occur while a wet-installed film dries; ask the installer what is expected and what needs inspection. Use a clean, soft cloth and a cleaner compatible with the film once cleaning is allowed. Report lifting, persistent bubbles or unusual marks instead of trying to fix them yourself.

What is the difference between dyed, metalized and ceramic film?

Dyed film primarily reduces visible light through an absorbing layer. Metalized film uses metallic layers that can reflect energy and may affect some radio or electronic signals depending on the installation. Ceramic film uses nonmetallic particles to manage solar energy without relying on a metallic layer. Darkness alone does not describe heat rejection. Compare visible light transmission, total solar energy rejection, reflectance, optical clarity and compatibility with the vehicle's electronics. Ask which material category is appropriate for your goals and how the combined glass and film will be checked for compliance.
